DOLE: Second tranche of pay hike for Cagayan Valley now in effect

The second tranche of wage increase amounting to P15 in Region II took effect on April 1, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said on Wednesday, April 3.

Cagayan Valley's wage board recently released Wage Order No. RTWPB 2-22 on Sept. 21, 2023, which provides a P30 raise for minimum wage workers in the area and will be divided in two tranches.

DOLE said that with the implementation of the new wage order, the minimum daily wage for workers in non-agriculture is now P450, while those in the agriculture sector will be P430.

Region II’s wage board has also issued Wage Order No. 02-DW-05, providing a P500 monthly increase for kasambahays or domestic workers, raising their monthly income to P5,500.
