Scattered rain showers may be felt in Caraga, Davao regions due to ITCZ
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday, April 29 said parts of Mindanao may experience rain showers due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ)—a weather system where winds from the northern and southern hemispheres converge.

In PAGASA’s 4 a.m. live broadcast, weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said Caraga and Davao Region may have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned the public of flash floods or landslides that may occur these areas during moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, Villamil said hot and humid weather will persist in most parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila.
PAGASA said most of the country may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA also warned the public of flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Based on PAGASA’s extended weather outlook from April 30 to May 2, the actual air temperatures in some key areas will be 26–37°C in Metro Manila, 25-38°C in Tuguegarao City, 26-33°C in Legazpi City, 17–27°C in Baguio City, 27–33°C in Metro Cebu, 27–33°C in Iloilo City, 26–32°C in Tacloban City, 25–34°C in Metro Davao, 25–34°C in Zamboanga City, and 26–32°C in Cagayan de Oro City.
