BACOLOD CITY – A 32-year-old robbery suspect and drug personality was gunned down in a subdivision in Barangay Alijis here on Friday, April 26.
Police identified the victim as Jay-r Gamboa, 32, a resident of Barangay 16 here.

Police Capt. Andy Ofalia, head of Police Station 7, said the victim was walking on his way to a “sari-sari” or community convenience store when a man appeared and shot him in the head. Gamboa died on the spot.
Recovered from the crime scene was a fired .45 caliber bullet.
Ofalia said the victim was living in his mother’s house in Barangay Alijis after he was recently released from jail through plea bargaining for a drug offense. The victim also faced theft and robbery complaints.
