The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the heat index in Dagupan City, Pangasinan reached 51°C on Monday, April 29.
PAGASA said a heat index of 47°C was also recorded in Aparri, Cagayan and Aborlan, Palawan.
Meanwhile, in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; Coron, Palawan; Central Bicol State University (CBSUA) in Pili, Camarines Sur; and Iloilo City, Iloilo, a heat index of 46°C was felt.
Laoag City, Ilocos Norte and Bacnotan, La Union had a heat index of 45°C, said PAGASA.
In Sinait, Ilocos Sur; Isabela State University (ISU) in Echague, Isabela; Iba, Zambales; Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Virac, Catanduanes; Dumangas, Iloilo; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur, a heat index of 44°C was felt.
A heat index of 43°C was recorded in Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) in Batac, Ilocos Norte; Basco, Batanes; Baler, Aurora; Casiguran, Aurora; Cubi Pt., Subic Bay, Olongapo; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Roxas City, Capiz; and Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
In Science Garden, Quezon City; Calayan, Cagayan; Clark Airport, Pampanga; Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas; Masbate City, Masbate; Mambusao, Capiz; La Granja, La Carlota, Negros Occidental; and Catbalogan, Samar, a heat index of 42°C was recorded.
