From nail charms to boyfriend blush, these are some of the most-searched beauty looks and hacks online

Have you heard of broccoli freckles?

There is always something new in the beauty scene these days. Gone are the days when beauty trends just revolved around what was seen on the runway or the latest “it” item to try. As we live in the age of social media, beauty trends are more dictated by the looks people try and the techniques and hacks they share online.

Just recently, Google shared its beauty report, detailing what beauty fanatics are surfing now online. From nail charms to boyfriend blush, these are some of the most-searched beauty looks and hacks on the internet.

Nail charms

According to Google, search interest in nail charms spiked last March. One of the most-searched nail charms involved the famous Hello Kitty.

Bubble Bath nails

While Hello Kitty nail charms are for the maximalist type, fans of minimalist beauty are also surfing the web for Bubble Bath nails. Think of it as a nod to the “clean girl” aesthetic virally spreading on Tiktok, the Bubble Bath nails are next-level “naked” nails with a dash of pink hue with a cloudy characteristic.

Asian mullet

When we talk about iconic hairstyles, it is hard not to include the mullet. This time, though, many people are searching for the Asian twist on the “Business in the front, party in the back” look. Some wear it with a middle part style, others with a more edgy touch with bangs, waves, and an undone finish.

Bardot bangs

If you’ve been style-spotting like us during the last red carpet season, you may have seen many celebs donning new takes on the Bardot bangs. The 1960s-inspired fringe look with swopped sides offers a more dainty and romantic look fit for the season.

Boyfriend blush

Searches for Boyfriend blush tripled last month. While it is all the rage now, according to makeup experts, it is not a new thing in the beauty scene. Think of the rosy cheeks of royals Prince Harry and Prince William in their youth. This beauty trend aims to highlight the fullness of the cheeks, unlike the lifted-cheek look.

Broccoli freckles

Anyone who wants a faux freckle can easily have one with a vegetable. Yes, many Tiktok users are using broccoli to create tiny dots. To do that, they dip or apply cream bronzers or eyeshadows on a broccoli floret and dab it on their faces.
