This month, American fitness and footwear brand Reebok brought its latest creation to the Philippines. Dubbed FloatZig 1, the running shoes feature the brand’s Reebok’s award-winning performance Floatride Energy Foam and iconic Zig Tech technology in the midsole shape. Its design provides lightweight and responsive energy return, which gives better support to its wearers.

“The FloatZig 1 Running Shoes offer industry-leading performance and energy return, suited for even the most elite runners, but built to be accessible and enjoyable for all runners,” Todd Krinsky, Reebok president and CEO, said. “With both our product and within our irreverent Running Hacks global marketing campaign, we focused on the joy and excitement running can bring to all.”

To put it to the test, Reebok Philippines hosted the first-ever fun run to be done inside SM Megamall. Present during the event are the brand’s ambassadors and running enthusiasts from the EZ Run Club, wearing FloatZig 1 running shoes.

For Transpinay athlete Thysz Estrada, the best thing about FloatZig 1 is that it combines everything that runners need from their shoes—springy, light, and bouncy. “Reebok merged the revolutionary Floatride Energy Foam Tech with its innovative Zig sole design that changed the way running shoes looked and felt since the ‘90s,” she said. “I’ve always believed in taking care of the basics and am constantly on the lookout for amazing daily trainers that are comfortable and most importantly fun to run in.”

One thing fitness trainer Cilyn Monteverde loves about the new kicks is its style. The sneakers come in two colorways, one in core black and pale blue, but both feature a striking orange flare hue. It also has reflective details that shine in low light making it perfect for night runs.

The FloatZig 1 is now available at Reebok stores in SM Megamall, SM Seaside Cebu, SM
CDO Downtown Premier, and SM City Davao) and its official online store Reebok.ph. To know more about it, click here.
