2 minors drown in Batangas, Laguna

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Two young boys drowned on Sunday, April 28, in Batangas and Laguna provinces.

The Police Regional Office 4-A said the first victim was a seven-year-old boy from Barangay San Pioquinto, Malvar, Batangas.

Investigation said the boy and his uncle were swimming on a river when the victim reached a deep part and drowned. He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

The second victim was a six-year-old boy who drowned in the swimming pool of a resort in Barangay Bangyas, Calauan, Laguna.

Police said the victim from Victoria, Laguna town was found at the bottom of the swimming pool for children by his father. The victim was taken to the Laguna Provincial Hospital in Bay where he was pronounced dead.
