The Muntinlupa City government suspended face-to-face classes in Child Development Centers (CDC) due to the extreme heat forecast by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Mayor Ruffy Biazon said face-to-face classes in CDCs under Muntinlupa’s Early Childhood Education Division (ECED) are suspended for the whole week from April 29 to May 3.

The ECED supervises early childhood education in Muntinlupa covering children zero to four years old including Infant and Toddler Early Development, and Pre-Kindergarten 1 and 2.
The Department of Education (DepEd) earlier announced that from kindergarten to Grade 12, asynchronous/distance learning will be implemented from April 29 to 30.
The DepEd private schools have the discretion to implement its order.
Meanwhile, Biazon said it’s up to public and private colleges and universities in the city to decide if they will suspend face-to-face classes.
“Para sa colleges and universities (public and private), nasa discretion ng pamunuan kung sila ay magsu-suspinde ng F2F ayon sa sitwasyon ng bawat college o university (For colleges and universities [public and private], the discretion is with their administration if they will suspend F2F based on the situation of each college or university),” the mayor said.
The city-run Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa will hold online synchronous classes on April 29.
The Colegio de Muntinlupa decided to hold face-to-face classes since its classrooms are air-conditioned and the lessons on technical courses are better done through face-to-face mode.
