VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur – A 39-year-old woman was killed and her daughter was injured in a motorcycle collision in Barangay Beddeng Laud here on Wednesday, April 24.
Police Lt. Col. Rogelio Remiendo, police chief here, identified the victim as Emelita P. Abendanio of Barangay Anonang Menor, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur.
Abendanio was driving a motorcycle with her daughter as back rider when the motorcycle driven by John Carlo Quitoriano, 24, of Barangay Cabalangegan, Vigan City, who was allegedly drunk, encroached on the lane of the victim’s motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
Abendanio died due to serious head injuries and her daughter and Quitoriano were also injured and taken to the hospital.
Police said that Quitoriano is facing a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and physical injuries.
