QCPD seizes P748,000 worth of shabu, arrests 8 suspects in drug busts


Quezon City Police District (QCPD) operatives seized P748,000 worth of shabu and arrested eight drug peddlers in separate buy-bust operations in Quezon City.

Members of Masambong Police Station (PS 2) District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) said those arrested in the first operation were identified as Patrick Allen, 26, and Dianne Marie, 46.

They were nabbed on Catig St. in Barangay Veterans Village, Quezon City at around 11 p.m. on Friday, April 27.

Confiscated from the suspects were 55 grams of shabu worth P374,000, a cellular phone, a black pouch, and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) arrested Derico, 41, and Sandra, 22, both residents of San Jose, Del Monte, Quezon City; and Eudoxus, 27, of Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City.

The three suspects were apprehended on Quirino Highway in Barangay Gulod, Quezon City at around 11 p.m. on April 26.

Police confiscated from the suspects 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000, two cellular phones, a green coin purse, and the buy-bust money.

Same operatives arrested Eugene Mar, 24, and John Jonald, 25, on Austria St. in Barangay Nova Proper, Novaliches, Quezon City at around 6:15 a.m., on April 26.

Confiscated from them were 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000, two motorcycles, a yellow coin purse, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

Members of Batasan Police Station (PS 6) nabbed one Christopher, 40, at IBP Road, Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City at around 11:45 p.m. on April 25 after a police officer, who posed as a buyer, bought from him P500 worth of shabu.

Recovered from the suspect were 25 grams of shabu worth P170,000, a motorcycle, a helmet, a black coin purse, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

Police said the arrested suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
