DOLE announces free LRT-2, MRT-3 ride for workers on May 1

All private and public sector workers will be treated to free rides on the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) and the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) on Wednesday, May 1, in commemoration of Labor Day, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said. 

This, after the Department of Transportation (DOTr) approved the labor department’s request to provide complimentary transportation services to Filipinos during the May 1 celebrations.

DOLE said the free rides can be availed during peak periods from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Employees must present their company identification cards or any valid government-issued IDs.
