Standhardinger scattered 33 points, hauled 12 rebounds and dished off nine assists while presiding over a second-half onslaught for the Kings, who extended their winning run to four games.

He also had two steals and two blocks.

Ginebra ripped the game wide oen from a 48-all deadlock at the half after outscoring Converge in the third frame, 35-21.

The Kings improved to a 7-3 win-loss record behind the still undefeated San Miguel (8-0), tightening their grip of the Top 2 spot which dangles a twice-to-beat incentive in the quarterfinals.

Converge, on the other hand, slid to a 1-9 record but still has the chance for a graceful exit when it wraps up the eliminations with a clash against TNT.

Scottie Thompson also simply had his way and stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. The nifty passes from Standhardinger and Thompson worked wonders for Ginebra with Maverick Ahanmisi benefitting the most with 17 points while Ralph Cu added 13.

Japeth Aguilar chipped in 12 points while Nards Pinto contributed 10.

Alec Stockton continued to pace Converge by dropping 32 points along with six rebounds and six assists, but was only limited to just two points in the third when Ginebra made the deciding run.

Justin Arana added 18 points and seven rebounds but no other FiberXers finished in double digits outside the two – a problem that has been bugging Converge all conference long.

Bryan Santos, who was the biggest factor in their breakthrough win when he finished with 22 points, was limited by Ginebra’s defense to a measly five points.
