Marcos made the approval during the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board meeting in Malacañan on Thursday, April 25.

In a statement on Friday, April 26, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said the three priority projects aimed to improve the lives of Filipinos.

In approving the PGH-Cancer Center PPP, the President said it was important to ensure it could take in patients and use the hospital's facilities.

“As a PPP, it seems to be good. I mean, it’s a major change from the original, but if the viability of the project maintains, then, I think, it will be, it’s a reasonable change to make as long as we can – it’s still, as I said, economically viable both for the government and for the private sector,” Marcos said.

The second agenda was the NEDA Board-Investment Coordination Committee Guidelines on the Review and Approval of National PPP Proposals, which President Marcos described as necessary.

"I think, in fact, in my view, it’s necessary to do this if we are going to comply with our own rules and regulations, and with our own internal rules and regulations," he said.

Meanwhile, Marcos did not object to the Department of Education's (DepEd's) Basic Education Plan 2030 and MATATAG Agenda, saying it was a national policy and plan for the country's basic education system.

Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte was the one who presented the Education Development Plan 2030 and the “MATATAG Agenda” before members of the NEDA board chaired by President Marcos.
