Driver, daughter shot dead in Abra

BANGUED, Abra – A 44-year-old driver and his four-year old daughter were gunned down in Sitio Quemmel, Barangay Lubluba, Dolores, Abra on Wednesday night, April 24.

Police identified the victims as Arnel E. Zapata and his daughter Ailish Precious.

Investigation said the victims were resting on a bed in front of their house a man driving a motorcycle arrived.

The Zapatas were taken to a hospital but they died on the way from bullet wounds.

Police recovered 11 empty shells for an M-16 Armalite rifle from the crime scene.

Arnel allegedly had unpaid debt from a private individual and a driver of a politician in Abra.

Lawmen are conducting follow-up operations.
