Cops seizes P1-M illegal drugs from 17-year-old boy


Quezon City Police District (QCPD) operatives seized P1,035,000 worth of illegal drugs from a 17-year-old boy in a buy-bust operation on Thursday, April 25.

Members of Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) launched an entrapment operation after receiving information regarding the illegal drug peddling of the suspect.

The suspect was nabbed after a police officer, who posed as a buyer, successfully bought P11,000 worth of shabu from him at around 6:55 p.m. in Barangay Balong Bato, Quezon City.

Confiscated from the minor were 150 grams of shabu worth P1,020,000, 10 grams of marijuana with a street value of P15,000, and a sling bag.

Police said that the minor will be turned over to the Station Women's and Children Concern Section (SWCCS) and Quezon City Social Services Development Department (SSDD).

He will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
