Three men engaged in illegal gambling were arrested by members of the Pasay police Substation 7 when they yielded illegal drugs during the conduct of “Oplan Galugad” last Wednesday, April 24.
Pasay City police Chief Col. Mario Mayames identified the suspects as alias Dodoy, 32, of Saint Cecille St., Maricaban, Pasay City; alias Paul, 26, of Gardenia St., Transmitter Area, Maricaban, both members of Sputnik gang; and alias Manong, 58, pedicab driver of Lawaan St., Barangay 182, Maricaban, Pasay City.
Mayames said the suspects were arrested at around 12:30 a.m. along Saint Augustine, Barangay 178, Maricaban, Pasay City.
They were arrested by members of Substation 7 who were conducting “Oplan Galugad” and caught them engaged in illegal gambling.
Confiscated from the suspects were three one-peso coins utilized as flippers during the conduct of “cara y cruz” and bet money amounting to P450 in various denominations.
Mayames said that in accordance with standard operating procedures, a body search was conducted and found in the possession of alias Dodoy were around 0.32 grams of shabu worth P2,176.00 and a .38 caliber revolver loaded with two live ammunitions.
He said the suspects were detained at the police custodial facility after their arrest and were charged for illegal possession of drugs and firearms and for illegal gambling.
