A Vietnamese man was arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police for possession of shabu and ecstasy on Wednesday afternoon, April 24.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect identified as Hoang, 20, was arrested at around 4:55 p.m. at Bayview Drive, Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.
Based on the report of Parañaque city police chief Col. Reycon Garduque, the suspect was prevented by the officer-in-charge of Barangay Tambo Peace and Order from urinating in public place.
The suspect, however, became unruly, triggering a heated altercation between him and the peace officer.
During their confrontation, a small transparent sachet containing yellow pills accidentally fell from the pocket of the suspect.
With the assistance of “Pulis sa Barangay” personnel, the suspect was arrested.
During body search, two sachets of shabu were also found in the suspect's possession.
Garduque said the confiscated shabu and ecstasy were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit.
The suspect was detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest and was charged with possession of illegal drugs.
