Thief caught on CCTV camera stealing motorcycle

The Manila Police District (MPD) is hunting down an unidentified man who stole a motorcycle parked on Maria Cristina Street in Sampaloc, Manila.

According to the victim, John Villareal, he last saw his motorcycle parked in front of their house on the night of April 18.

When his mother woke up the following day, she noticed that the motorcycle was already missing.

Villareal immediately headed to the barangay hall to review the closed-circuit television (CCTV), where he confirmed that a thief stole his motorcycle.

Based on the CCTV footage, the suspect returned to the area several times to observe the neighborhood before he finally took the motorcycle.

The suspect was also seen changing his t-shirt before committing the crime.

The victim admitted that he did not lock his motorcycle after he parked it.

Authorities reminded the motorists to make sure they lock their vehicles after parking them in a safe area.
