High tea reception to celebrate Eid al-Fitr

The Ambassador of the Brunei Darussalam Embassy, H.E. Megawati Manan, and her spouse, Col (Rtd) Rahman Durahman, hosted a high-tea reception to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. Held on April 11, 2024, at the ambassador's residence, the lovely couple welcomed friends who were obviously close to them. The mood was cheery, easy, and truly pleasurable, with everyone comfortable, relaxed, and casually catching up with each other.

Guests kept asking Ambassador Megawati about the program, to which she responded, "No program. This is all about celebrating friendship. And the program is, when you're in my house, it's eat all you can!"

Ambassador Megawati shared a few details about Ramadan, mentioning the small sacrifices made—no drinking or eating from sunrise to sunset—and how it's been particularly challenging, especially with the heat this year. "Thank you, this is all about celebrating friendship," she said.
