Construction worker in Antipolo City yields more than P300,000 worth of shabu and 2 guns


Police seized over P300,000 worth of shabu and two firearms from a construction worker regarded by authorities as a high-value individual in a buy-bust operation in Antipolo City.

Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) director Col. Felipe Maraggun said the 49-year-old man yielded eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 45 grams when an undercover cop caught him in an entrapment operation on the night of April 23 in Barangay San Roque.

He was also found in possession of a .45-caliber pistol and a 9mm  pistol and two magazines during his arrest.

Col. Maraggun said the suspect had long been the subject of a surveillance operation prior to his apprehension.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Firearms Law (Republic Act 10591) will be filed against the suspect who is now in the custodial facility of the Antipolo City Police.
