Cayetano administers oath-taking of senior citizens association in EMBO barangays


Mayor Lani Cayetano administered the oath-taking of recently elected officers of the Taguig Association of Senior Citizens (TASC) in the 10 EMBO (enlisted men’s barrio) barangays. 

A total of 60 officers including presidents and vice presidents from the EMBO barangays were sworn in at a ceremony at the Taguig City hall.

“Today, as you take your oath of office, dear officers, hangad ko po ang inyong buong pusong pagyakap sa mga kaakibat na gampanin ng inyong posisyon (my wish is for you wholehearted embrace to the responsibilities of your position),” said Cayetano. 

Attending the ceremony were Taguig-Pateros Rep. Ricardo Cruz Jr.; Committee on Senior Citizens, Persons with Disability and Veterans Affairs Chairman Councilor Raul Aquino; Councilors Joy Panga-Cruz, Jomil Serna, Alex Penolio, Jimmy Labampa, Edgar Baptista, Lamberto Mañosca, Rodil Marcelino, Carlito Ogalinola, Jaime Garcia, Eduardo Prado and Nicky Supan; Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president Joana Pagkalinawan; Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs head Ramonita Jordan; Barangay Affairs Office head  Evelyn Arago; and City Executive Assistant for Health Dr. Cecille Montales.

Majority of the elderly candidates allied with Cayetano won in the elections with a 7-3 victory in EMBO barangays held last month. 

Barangays Pitogo, South Cembo, Comembo, East Rembo, and Rizal all showed strong support for the Cayetano team while significant wins were also seen in Post Proper Northside and West Rembo, where allies also won key positions.
