Blade is making it easier for owners of all models of vehicles to make the switch to brighter, safer LED lighting with the introduction of Ultinon Access LED bulbs. This new line of bulbs is compatible with cars which use conventional Halogen bulbs.

These replacement bulbs require no special wiring, ballast, or additional equipment. They simply fit into the standard halogen housing and easily connect with the existing wiring. Best of all, LED bulbs are much brighter, use less power, and can last longer than Halogen. The LED bulbs are approximately 100-300% brighter than Halogen, depending on the model. They also have four to six times longer lifespans. There's also no need to worry about accidentally touching the halogen headlamp housing. The Philips bulb no longer has one.

To further prove just how easy it is to switch, Blade will be hosting a Philips Challenge which will be open to the public. Customers can try installing the bulb themselves. They will be given 10 minutes to install one bulb and if they are successful, they will redeem a free Ultinon Pro3100 bulb pair. This will be conducted in two locations on separate weekends: in Blade Mindanao Avenue from April 26-28, 2024, and in Blade Timog Avenue from May 3-5, 2024.

Ultinon Access LED bulbs are the latest series in Philips’ line of LED technology for car headlights. Their compact size and high performance make it perfect for any vehicle and serves as a replacement for Halogen bulbs. The bulbs can fit any lighting housing that uses halogen H4, HB3/4, or H11 docks.

As for motorcycles, currently, Ultinon Access and Ultinon WeatherVision LED bulbs can be fitted into motorcycles that use H4 or H7 docks. Philips says they will soon unveil bulbs compatible with more motorbikes in Asia that use HS1 and M5/T19 docks later in the year.

Blade’s 20th anniversary

There could be no better occasion to celebrate Blade’s 20th anniversary. 20 years ago, Blade started as one of the first retail car accessory brands in the Philippines. Since then, the business has expanded from its initial branch in Market Market BGC to all over the country with more than fifty stores.

This year will be the 20th year of Blade Auto Center, with the brand preparing special events, sales, and more to celebrate this occasion.
