Mangan Taku Festival unwraps in Baguio


BAGUIO CITY – Native food and wine from the six provinces of the Cordillera – Ifugao, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Benguet, and Abra – were featured at the opening of the 5th Mangan Taku Festival at the Rose Garden of the Burnham Park here on Wednesday afternoon, April 24.

DOT-Cordillera Regional Director Jovi Ganongan said, "Mangan Taku is not just an invitation to sample our cuisine, but a gateway to immerse in a way of life and reminds us of who we are as Cordillerans."

She said these events hold significance as they not only celebrate the rich culture and heritage of the Cordillera region but also highlight the importance of promoting sustainable tourism, community engagement, and supporting local farmers.

These unique food and wine can be tasted until April 29.
