DepEd-Muntinlupa suspends face-to-face classes on April 25, 26


The Schools Division Office (SDO) in Muntinlupa under the Department of Education has suspended face-to-face classes in public schools on April 25 and 26 due to the threat of extreme heat index. 

According to the Muntinlupa City government, this was announced by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Violeta Gonzales.

The class suspension on April 25 and 26 will cover all public schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12. 

The alternative delivery mode using the asynchronous modality will be implemented. 

Class suspension in private schools will depend on their school heads. 

The decision was made based on the extreme heat index forecast by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). 

The heat index in Muntinlupa reached the danger level of 45 degrees Celsius at 4 p.m. on April 24.
