Toting an 8-2 win-loss record at joint second, the Crossovers needed to win at least two sets in their 4 p.m. collision with the eliminated Highrisers to join Choco Mucho, Petro Gazz and Creamline into the next phase.

It would also dash any hopes PLDT may have of advancing to the next round.

Despite enjoying a six-game winning streak, Chery Tiggo is determined not to let its guard down as it aims to keep the momentum going against a rival hungry to end the campaign on a high note.

Sisters Eya and EJ Laure are expected to carry the offensive load for the Crossovers, with Ara Galang, Aby Maraño and Mylene Paat set to provide reinforcements.

Galeries Tower, which carries a 3-7 card, aims to end its campaign with a bang with Ysa Jimenez, France Ronquillo and Joy Doromal slated to lead the charge.

PLDT, on the other hand, faces a daunting task against Creamline in the 6 p.m. main game and must rely on other outcomes to have a chance at advancing.

Still reeling from back-to-back losses to Chery Tiggo and Cignal that put them at fifth with a 7-3 card, the High Speed Hitters aim nothing but to regain their composure.

Savi Davison, who erupted for 29 points the last time, is expected to lead the fight along with Dell Palomata, Majoy Baron and Kim Fajardo.

Creamline, for its part, is using the match as a morale boost for its semis campaign with Tots Carlos, Pangs Panaga, Jema Galanza and Alyssa Valdez forming the team’s core.
