Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar extended the suspension of face-to-face (F2F) classes in all levels in public and private up to Friday, April 26.
Aguilar suspended the F2F classes on Wednesday, April 24, upon the recommendation of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) due to extreme heat index.
The mayor decided to continue the F2F class suspension in the city up to Friday and to shift to online classes or asynchronous to protect the students from the dangers of extreme heat.

She said continued exposure to heat index of 42 to 51 degrees Celsius may cause heat cramps and heat exhaustion and possible heat stroke.
The mayor said residents who may experience health problems due to hot weather may call the DRRMO at 8290-6500 for immediate assistance.
