“The lead agency is the NBI and we are helping the National Bureau of Investigation locate him. We are closing in," PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil said during his visit to the Police Regional Office-8 (Eastern Visayas) on Tuesday, April 23.

Marbil, a former PRO-8 chief, said that Quiboloy is not that difficult to track and they already have a strategy in finding him.

The PNP had earlier said that there was no indication that Quiboloy had left the country based on records from the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

Quiboloy has two warrants of arrest from the Davao City and Pasig City Regional Trial Courts for sexual abuse and human trafficking.

Hontiveros cited the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the PNP to confiscate Quiboloy's licenses to own and possess firearms. Quiboloy reportedly owns 19 assorted firearms registered under his name.
