Over P800,000 worth of shabu seized in Makati buy-bust ops
Two persons were arrested in two buy-bust operations spearheaded by the Makati City Police on April 17 and 18, resulting in the confiscation of over P800,000 worth of illegal drugs.
The suspects identified as "Philip" and "CJ" were tagged as high-value individuals (HVIs) by the police for illegal drugs.
Based on the police report, Philip was nabbed on Felipe Street in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo on April 18 in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and Guadalupe Nuevo Sub-Station.

The authorities recovered from the suspect P442,000 worth of shabu.
"The arrested suspect will be facing complaints for violation of Section 5 (Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution, and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs and Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals), and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Art II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002," the police said.
Meanwhile, CJ was arrested in a separate operation on Sgt. Fabian Yabut Street of the same barangay on April 17.

According to the police, the police poseur-buyer successfully purchased P80,000 worth of shabu from the suspect.
However, upon seeing the operatives about to arrest him, CJ hopped on his motorcycle, ensuing a brief chase.
The suspect was cornered by the police and recovered P408,000 worth of shabu from him.
CJ is now facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 Article II of the Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
