My favorite MagSafe accessories

Apple's Magsafe is one convenient feature of the iPhone. Apart from wireless charging and using the wallet, I have other accessories that are part of my everyday carry (EDC). Here's a rundown of these accessories.

Moment's MagSafe tripod mount removes the friction of attaching and detaching the iPhone to the tripod or monopod. Prior to this, I have a mount that uses a clamp to secure the iPhone. I admit that a clamp is more secure, but I am rarely in a situation that needs that.

Moment's MagSafe wall mount is stuck on a wall across the treadmill (via an adhesive). I watch TV shows or movies whilst on the treadmill, and there are times, like in the middle of a workout, that I want to rewind the video - so I just detach it, rewind and re-attach using MagSafe. There are other knock-offs you can find online, but you must be careful as the magnets on some are weak.

Ulanzi MagFilter Adapter allows me to use special magnetic filters when taking photos and videos. Currently, I have the 52mm CPL mounted. Planning to get the UV and ND filters next.

MagSafe-compatible cooling fan is a must have if your daily temperature ranges from 30C (86F) to 41C (105.8F). It is really intended for mobile gaming as the processor gets hammered and heats up, but in such a hot and humid environment, shaving a few degrees definitely helps the iPhone, specially when charging it during the day.

I also have an Apple MagSafe wallet, the original leather version, which is used sparingly since it can only accommodates two (2) cards (3 if you want to push it) - a loyalty card for grocery shopping and the paid parking card. I wish I can fit four cards, but Apple does not offer one. 

As for MagSafe wireless chargers, I have the one of the Belkin products, but I rarely use it since it's really slow, even at 15W. Wired is still the way to go. I also have a MagSafe battery pack from Anker, which is also rarely used to charge the iPhone wirelessly (the USB-C port is so much better), but instead, is used to attach to the iPhone for easier handling. This has changed since the iPhone gets extremely warm when charging and an attached discharging battery pack heats up, too.
