The Flying Titans, who already booked a semifinal berth, recovered from a 1-2 set deficit and turned to high-flying Sisi Rondina to deliver the goods on their way to finishing the prelims with a 9-2 win-loss record.

The triumph not only untangled Choco Mucho from a four-way logjam at the helm with Petro Gazz, Creamline and Chery Tiggo, but also boosted their morale heading to the semis scheduled next week.

It also erased the memory of that stinging straight-set defeat to the Cool Smashers last Thursday, April 18.

Rondina attacked the net on all angles, pumping in 24 kills and posting five blocks to finish with 29 points while Royse Tubino was equally explosive with 16 points.

Isa Molde and Chery Nunag also chipped in 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Flying Titans, who continue to adjust with the absence of Kat Tolentino due to health issues.

Choco Mucho’s win overshadowed the efforts of Trisha Tubu for Farm Fresh, who erupted with a career-high 32 points built on 30 kills and two blocks.

Kate Santiago also came off the bench in the first set and went on to finish with 21 points in a losing effort for the Foxies, who finished their campaign with three wins against eight defeats.
