Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez attended the culminating activity of 548 beneficiaries of “PAOTUPAD ni Kuya Edwin” on Monday, April 22.
Olivarez said the final activity of the beneficiaries of “PAOTUPAD ni Kuya Edwin”, a flagship program of Congressman Edwin Olivarez and Councilor Pablo “Paolo” Olivarez II, was held at the Parañaque Sports Complex in Barangay San Antonio.
Congressman Olivarez said the program was done in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE's) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Displaced/Disadvantaged (TUPAD) workers.
Olivarez said the beneficiaries were deployed to different schools around the city for 14-days, earning P610 per day or a total of P8,540.
He said aside from the culminating activity of batch 18 beneficiaries, a self-care day was also conducted in cooperation with Ospital ng Parañaque I under medical director Dr. Darius Sebastian. They were given free services like monitoring of blood pressure and blood sugar.
The beneficiaries were also given lectures on disaster preparedness by the Parañaque City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
