“Gusto ko lang i-warn ang publiko nga may magtawag kag magpakilala nga ako, i-validate gid nila kung ako gid (I want to warn the public that if someone calls and claims to be me, it should be validated that it’s really me),” said Coronica following the attempt of a man pretending to be him who called the offices of city Councilors Ely Estante and Urminico Baronda to obtain endorsements for contractors.

The offices of Estante and Baronda called Coronica to verify. He denied that the man was connected with his office.

“Wala ako nagahimo sang parehos sina nga ga pangita sang mga contractor  (I don’t do such things as asking for contractor referrals),” added Coronica.

This was not the first time that his was used to dupe people. There were similar incidents last year.
