Toddler drowns on river

BACOLOD CITY – A one-year-old girl drowned on a river in Barangay Suba, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Sunday, April 21.

Police Major Ronald Santillan, Calatrava police chief, said the victim went out of her house unnoticed while her mother was doing household chores.

Her mother noticed her missing and looked for her until she found her floating on the river at the back of their house.

The victim was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead.
