Police identified the victim as Myra Belando, 43, of Barangay Oringao.

Police Lt. Col. Roberto Indiape Jr., Kabankalan police chief, said the victim was driving a motorcycle on her way to work when an unidentified person appeared and shot her.

Indiape said the victim sustained four bullet wounds in the head and body.

Recovered from the crime scene were four fired bullets and a cartridge of 9mm caliber firearm.

Police are looking into grudges as a possible motive in the incident. But they are also exploring other possible angles.

Indiape said the victim had been summoned by the barangay several times due to a conflict in the community.

He said the victim was jailed for illegal possession of firearm and served her sentence long time ago.
