Police net 30 wanted individuals in Caraga

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police arrested a most wanted person on the regional level and 29 other fugitives in the Caraga region on Saturday, April 20.

Police Regional Office 13-Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer identified the MWP as Rom.

Rom was a member of the New People’s Army and listed as the No. 1 MWP on the provincial level for murder with no bail recommended.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft commended the cooperation of the community for the arrest of the suspects.

“We attribute these series of successful arrests to the support and cooperation of the community coupled with our relentless police operations against wanted persons,” Kraft said. “Rest assured that we will be insistent with the process of bringing justice to their victims.”

The suspects are in the custody of operating units for final disposition, Ometer said.
