LPA outside PAR has low chance of developing into cyclone — PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday, April 22 said the low pressure area (LPA) outside the country’s area of responsibility has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone this week.

However, the trough or extension of the LPA that was located east of Mindanao may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms to Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas during moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, there is a low chance of rains in Northern Luzon due to the prevalence of the ridge of a high pressure area, which is an anti-cyclone system.
PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
It also warned the public of flash floods that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Based on the PAGASA’s extended weather outlook from April 23 to 25, air temperatures in some key areas will be 25–35°C in Metro Manila, 24-38°C in Tuguegarao City, 26-33°C in Legazpi City, 17–27°C in Baguio City, 26–32°C in Metro Cebu, 27–33°C in Iloilo City, 26–34°C in Tacloban City, 25–33°C in Metro Davao, 24–35°C in Zamboanga City, and 25–33°C in Cagayan de Oro City.
