Batangas City buy-bust seizes HVI, P341,000 shabu

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – A high-value individual in the illegal drugs trade was arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Dumantay here on April 20.

The Police Regional Office 4-A said the Batangas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit seized P340,000 worth of suspected shabu from the suspect, Mac, of Barangay Sorosoro Ilaya, this city.

PRO 4-A chief Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kennth Lucas said the suspect was caught after he sold shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

Recovered from Mac were one heat-sealed plastic sachet containing shabu about 50 grams and valued at P340,000 and the boodle money.

Lucas lauded the apprehending unit for the arrest of the suspect.

"I am grateful to our brave and hardworking Batangas CPS personnel for their dedication and excellence in fulfilling their duties in thwarting illegal drugs in the city. To our community, rest assured that we will continue our anti-illegal drug operations not only in the province of Batangas but also in the entire region,” Lucas said.

The suspect faces drug-related charges and the pieces of evidence are under the custody of the Batangas Provincial Forensic Unit for testing and laboratory examination.
