ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Western Mindanao Command and the Australia Defense Force have wrapped up their latest joint military training aimed towards enhancing the knowledge and skills of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The five-day Joint Operations Planning Course (JOPC), participated in by 30 military officers, was conducted at the WMC Officer’s Clubhouse in Camp Navarro here from April 15 to 19.
The JOPC sought to develop the knowledge and skills of military personnel as a foundation to understand complex integrated military planning on the operational level.
The participants, operational planners from different Wesmincom units, gained skills on how to perform as members of the Joint Planning Group or Operational Planning Team.
Lt. Gen. William Gonzales, Wesmincom commander, thanked the Australia Defense Force Mobile Training Team, saying the JOPC holds immense significance for the participants.
Gonzales urged participants to implement the principles of joint operations planning and apply them in their units.
