‘Queen of Tears’ episode 14 sets drama’s highest ratings to date


The Korean drama “Queen of Tears” has reached another milestone by recording its highest ratings to date, narrowly missing in equalizing or surpassing the nationwide rating of “Crash Landing on You.”

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 14 of “Queen of Tears,” starring Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won, on April 21 on tvN got a nationwide rating of 21.625 percent, its highest since it started on March 9. 

The 21.625 percent is near the record of 21.683 percent set by “Crash Landing on You,” which currently holds the record for the highest rating for any tvN drama.  

The difference between the two dramas is only 0.058 percentage point. 

“Queen of Tears” episode 14 was watched by 5.46 million people. 

In the metropolitan area (Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi) on April 21, “Queen of Tears” received a rating of 23.925 percent, its highest to date, eclipsing the record of 23.249 percent of “Crash Landing on You.” It was watched by 2.87 million people. 

With two episodes to go, “Queen of Tears” has the chance to climb in the ratings to become the highest rated tvN drama. 

The last two episodes will air on April 27 and 28.
