Former Muntinlupa OIC-mayor Victor Aguinaldo passes away


Lawyer Victor Aguinaldo, who served as officer-in-charge-mayor of Muntinlupa after the 1986 People Power Revolution, passed away on April 18. He was 80. 

The Muntinlupa City government announced Aguinaldo’s passing. 

“Paalam former Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Mayor, Atty. Victor Aguinaldo,” the city government posted on April 21.

Aguinaldo was born on Aug. 26, 1943. He served as OIC-mayor of Muntinlupa from Dec. 2, 1987 to Feb. 1, 1988. 

City Council Majority Floor Leader Raul Corro, who served as city attorney and head of the Muntinlupa Public Information Office, said when Ignacio Bunye won as mayor in the first election under the new 1987 Constitution, Aguinaldo was appointed municipal administrator. He also served as municipal attorney. 

Aguinaldo’s wake is at the La Funeraria Paz-Sucat’s Lorenzo Ruiz Chapel. Interment will be at the Manila Memorial Park-Sucat on April 24.
