Bacolod cops net P904,000 shabu in buy-busts

BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized suspected shabu valued at P904,400 in buy-bust operations here over the weekend.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit recovered 130 grams of shabu worth P884,000 from suspected drug pusher Renelyn Rusiana, 36, in Barangay Handumanan on Sunday, April 21.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said the suspect, a high-value individual, was a drug runner or courier.

Mogato said that they monitored the suspect for two weeks after they received information about her activities. Recovered from her were the P10,000 boodle money and P200.

Police are probing if she has ties to a drug syndicate. The suspect’s husband is in jail for robbery.

A suspected member of a drug syndicate was arrested in Barangay 28 here on Saturday, April 20.

The suspect, 47, yielded three grams of shabu worth P20,400. He had been jailed for illegal drugs and is detained at Police Station 6.
