Actor Donny Pangilinan of Kapamilya hit series Can’t Buy Me Love rediscovered his love for running during the Samsung Galaxy Earth Day Run 2024.

The 26-year-old actor was one of nearly 10,000 participants from three race categories to make their weekend morning worthwhile.

Pangilinan took part in the 5-kilometer race and clocked in 26 minutes with ease on Sunday morning, April 21, at the MOA Complex.

In one of his previous YouTube vlogs, Pangilinan mentioned that his fastest time for a 5KM distance is sub-18 or 17 minutes and 50 seconds.

Earlier this week, Pangilinan’s mother and sister, Maricel and Hannah finished the Boston Marathon, one of the six World Major Marathons (WMM).

Turns out, Pangilinan’s mother and actress Maricel earned her sixth star medal as she finally completed all the WMM which includes Tokyo, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York.

“We back [to running]. Had a blast today at the Samsung Philippines Galaxy Watch Earth Day Run,” Pangilinan wrote on his Instagram.

Pangilinan is actually one of the electronic giant’s ambassadors, but more than that, had an impressive history in running.

This year, Samsung partnered with RUNRIO Inc. which organizes most of the premier races here in the country as the event promotes environmentally conscious marathon events.

The new generation star also recently mentioned that he’s getting inspired by his family members’ running feat as he looks to meaningfully pick up racing again on top of his busy schedule.
