11 areas experience 'dangerous' heat indices on April 21
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 11 areas had experienced “dangerous” heat indices on Sunday, April 21.

PAGASA said a heat index of 44°C was felt in Aborlan, Palawan and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
A heat index of 43°C was also recorded in Aparri, Cagayan; Infanta, Quezon; Virac, Cantanduanes; Masbate City, Masbate; Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) station in Pili, Camarines Sur; Guiuan, Eastern Samar; Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur.
Meanwhile, a heat index of 42°C was felt in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, and Iloilo City, Iloilo.
PAGASA advised the public to always stay hydrated, as heat stroke is imminent due to prolonged exposure.
