Trough of LPA to bring rains over Davao Region --- PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, April 20, said a low pressure area (LPA), which may bring rains to Davao Region, was monitored outside the country’s area of responsibility (PAR).

In PAGASA’s latest live broadcast, weather specialist Ana Clauren-Jorda said the LPA outside PAR, which was last seen 575 kilometers (km) southeast of General Santos City, is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone.
However, the Davao Region may have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough or extension of the LPA.
PAGASA warned the public of flash floods or landslides that may occur in the affected area in times of moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the ridge of a high pressure area or anti-cyclone system still affects the eastern section of Northern and Central Luzon, said PAGASA.
