NCT Dream’s Renjun suspends activities due to anxiety


Renjun, a member of K-pop boy band NCT Dream, has temporarily suspended his activities due to poor health and anxiety. 

SM Entertainment announced it through NCT Dream’s Weverse account on April 20.

“Renjun recently visited the hospital due to poor health and symptoms of anxiety, and as a result of the examination, the medical staff determined that he needed sufficient rest and rest. We decided that the artist's health was our top priority, and after careful discussion with Renjun, we decided to focus on treatment and recovery,” it said. 

It added, “Accordingly, Renjun has decided not to participate in the schedule starting from the autograph session scheduled for today (April 20), and we will inform you again when it is possible to return to activities in the future.”

In addition, Renjun will not participate at NCT Dream’s third solo concert “The Dream Show 3: Dream()Scape” that will be held from May 2 to 4 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. 

“NCT DREAM's third solo concert 'THE DREAM SHOW 3: DREAM( )SCAPE', which will be held from May 2nd to 4th, will be held with 6 members: Mark, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung, so we ask for fans' generous understanding,” it said. 

It added, “We would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused to our fans. We will do our best to ensure that Renjun can be with his fans in good health.”

The agency also warned that “our company is continuously checking and filing complaints against malicious posts directed at Renjun and other artists, including malicious slander, sexual harassment, spread of false information, insults, and defamation. We plan to hold the relevant actors legally responsible without any leniency or agreement, and will strive to protect the rights and interests of our artists.”
