Performance, trust ratings of VP Duterte also decline

President Marcos' performance and trust ratings saw double-digit declines in the Pulse Asia’s “Ulat ng Bayan” survey conducted from March 6 to 10.

Pulse Asia's survey results, released on Tuesday, April 2, revealed that the President's performance rating fell from 68 percent in December 2023 to 55 percent in March 2024.

He experienced a significant decrease in approval ratings in Mindanao, dropping from 62 percent to 40 percent, as well as among Class E, falling from 68 percent to 48 percent.

President Marcos’ trust rating also decreased to 57 percent in March 2024 from 73 percent in December 2023.

Pulse Asia noted that his trust rating in Mindanao dipped significantly, from 70 percent to 38 percent, and among Class E, from 74 percent to 45 percent.

Likewise, Vice President Sara Duterte also had lower performance and trust ratings between December 2023 and March 2024: 74 percent versus 67 percent and 78 percent versus 71 percent, respectively.

The vice president's approval ratings saw significant drops in Metro Manila (from 64 percent to 47 percent), Visayas (from 66 percent to 54 percent), and Luzon (from 74 percent to 66 percent), as well as among Class E (from 79 percent to 65 percent)

Meanwhile, her approval rating in Mindanao hardly changed, from 93 percent to 92 percent.

Vice President Duterte’s trust rating also dropped significantly in Metro Manila (from 76 percent to 60 percent), Visayas (from 83 percent to 72 percent), and Luzon (from 69 percent to 62 percent), but remained almost the same in Mindanao (from 96 percent to 95 percent).

The first quarter 2024 survey conducted by Pulse Asia in March gathered responses from 1,200 respondents nationwide.
