Senator Grace Poe emerged as the leading candidate for vice president in the Pulse Asia’s 2028 national election survey results, which were released on Tuesday, April 2.

The survey, which was conducted from March 6 to 10, asked 1,200 respondents about their preferred vice-presidential candidate in the 2028 elections.

The respondents were given the option to choose from a list of candidates or suggest others who were not included.

Pulse Asia’s survey results showed that Poe was the top choice for vice president, receiving 35 percent of voter support.

She received the most support from Visayas (41 percent) and Metro Manila (40 percent) and among Classes ABC and D (36 percent each).

Poe was followed by Senator Imee Marcos (16 percent), former Senator Manny Pacquiao (14 percent) and Senator Robin Padilla (14 percent).

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri (7 percent), Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro (4 percent), and Speaker Martin Romualdez (1 percent) all received single-digit voter preferences.

Also mentioned in the vice presidential survey were Senator Raffy Tulfo (0.5 percent), Senator Bong Go (0.3 percent), Senator Risa Hontiveros (0.05 percent), former Senator Francis Pangilinan (0.02 percent), Vice President Sara Duterte (0.01 percent), Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte (0.004 percent), and former President Rodrigo Duterte (0.001 percent).

Meanwhile, 6 percent responded with “can’t say,” while 2 percent declined to provide an answer.

Pulse Asia on Tuesday confirmed that the survey results, which were initially circulated online during the weekend, were derived from rider questions included in the March 2024 “Ulat ng Bayan” survey.
