Pasig's One-Stop-Shop to soon streamline government services - Mayor Vico
Pasig's much-awaited One-Stop-Shop will soon become a reality once the construction of the city's temporary city hall is finished, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said on Monday, April 1.

Mayor Vico Sotto
Sotto bared that the one-stop-shop aims to improve and expedite the processes and services of the Office of the Building Official (OBO) to Pasigueños that is also being implemented in other local government units (LGUs).
"Yung plano talaga natin dito ay yung Non-Contact Construction One-Stop-Shop, kaso yung mga renovation na gagawin parang nasa P20 million din kung gagawin natin dito (old City Hall), eh magdedemolish nga tayo kaya pinagpaliban muna natin yung plano (Our original plan is create the Non-Contact Construction One-Stop-Shop. However, due to the renovations that must be done amounting to around P20 million if we're going to build it here in the old city hall, we opted to scrap the plan first since we will demolish the old facility)," Sotto explained.
He detailed how the Non-Contact Construction One-Stop-Shop system works.
"Gaya ng ginagawa ng ibang LGU, iiwan nalang yung box kasama ng mga plano, lahat ng requirements, iikot nalang sya sa loob, yung kliyente wala nang pakealam. Basta kung ilang days lang dapat yan, yun lang iintndihin nya. Pagbalik nya makikita nya kung kumpleto, may permit sya, pero kung hindi kumpleto or may kakulangan or deficiency, makikita nya agad sa checklist nya kung ano ang problema (Just like what other LGUs are doing, clients will just have to submit a box containing all their requirements for the permit that they need and wait for it to be released on the release date. If all requirements are complete, then he or she will be issued the permit or document. However, if there are deficiencies or incomplete requirements, the client will immediately see the cause of the problem)."
He added that of the 100 complaints on the processing of the building permit, 99 of them were caused by the clients themselves due to lack of or deficient requirements.
He said the local government should strengthen its education campaign on the procedures in a bid to to stop fixers.
The local chief bared that the city's temporary city hall located in Amang Rodriguez, Barangay Rosario would be completed by the end of July and would be ready for move-in by July or August.
However, the timeline seems to have been moved up by a few weeks or possibly months.
