The Schools Division Office of Navotas City said that all public schools in the city have implemented the adjusted class schedules on days when the heat index is 40 degrees Celsius and above.
Public schools will conduct morning classes from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and afternoon classes from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.. Public high schools can extend their classes until 7 p.m.
The city government said the remaining time in the class schedules would be allocated for asynchronous activities.
