Caloocan City Mayor Dale “Along Malapitan” on Tuesday, April 2, ordered the implementation of blended learning in the city's public schools due to the prevailing hot weather.
Blended learning is now being implemented in public schools except for Grade 6 students who are taking the National Achievement Test.
For private schools, the decision to suspend or implement synchronous and/or asynchronous classes will be up to their respective school heads.
“Nasa pagpapasya naman po ng mga namumuno sa mga pribadong paaralan ang pagsuspinde o pagkakaroon ng synchronous o/at asynchronous na klase. (It is at the discretion of the heads of private schools to suspend or have synchronous or/and asynchronous classes)," Malapitan said.
Meanwhile, universities in Caloocan City have shifted to online or asynchronous classes starting at 12 noon on Tuesday.
Malapitan urged residents to drink water, remain indoors, and avoid staying under the sun.
